Bio:
Life can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. Therapy is more than talking through life's challenges—it's about gaining insight, building resilience, and creating meaningful, lasting change. Together, we'll identify the patterns that may be holding you back, develop practical tools for growth, and work toward a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and authentic.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, therapy is tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel understood, challenged, and empowered to create lasting change.
About Amber Weiss
Amber Weiss is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Wellness from New York University, graduating with honors. With over 15 years of education and experience in psychology, she has worked with individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, emotional eating, autism spectrum disorders, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
My Approach
I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every individual has unique experiences, strengths, and goals, which is why I tailor treatment to each client rather than relying on a single method.
My work integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered therapy. Together, we'll build greater self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, and create practical, lasting changes that extend well beyond our sessions.
My goal is not only to help you feel better, but to help you understand yourself more deeply and create a life that aligns with who you truly want to be.
